Matt Morenzoni

Matt Morenzoni – 30 years old – Data Analyst for Perlegen Sciences. Collegiate National Champion 2001. Matt is a master of the race against the clock. As President of the UC Davis Cycling Team in 2001, he anchored the winning team time trial and went on to win the overall Collegiate National Championship with his team. Matt has been riding for over 15 years—he finished the infamous “Death Ride” when he was only 14 years old! Matt continued to race bikes after completing his degree at UC Davis, and in 2006, he again demonstrated his excellent time trial skills by winning the Northern California & Nevada District Time Trial Championship with a time of 50:53. A lingering injury has curtailed most of Matt's 07 and 08 seasons, but after surgery to remove tightness in his quadriceps muscles look for Matt to once again be a strongman in Pro 1/2 races.
